Security Sales-- Idea Share Brings Customer-Driven Development to AtTask, Project Management Software

OREM, Utah—December 8, 2008—AtTask, the world’s most popular on-demand project and portfolio management (PPM) software, announces the launch of Idea Share, a new online forum that enables customers to suggest and prioritize the features that will be included in future versions. Idea Share launched as part of the @task online community, a new Web site designed to enhance support and facilitate interaction among @task customers.

“AtTask has always focused on being responsive to customers and Idea Share empowers them to directly influence our product roadmap,” said Scott Johnson, CEO of AtTask. “Launching Idea Share reinforces our reputation as the most customer-focused provider of on-demand project management software.”

@task includes several features in each quarterly update resulting from customer feedback. However, Idea Share makes the customer response process even more transparent. Idea Share not only allows customers to see which requests are most popular and which are already in development, it also allows them to submit ideas such as product enhancements or customer service requests, discuss their ideas with other users, and vote on them. @task product managers will post regular status updates as the most popular ideas are incorporated into future releases.

In addition to Idea Share, the online community offers several other customer-focused features, including discussion forums, online tutorials, product documentation, and multimedia such as podcasts and videos. Also featured is a calendar that notifies customers of upcoming training webinars, tradeshows, and user conferences. Users even have the ability to create their own custom profiles and avatars through the online community.

“The @task ‘community’ has grown to include over 1500 customers with tens of thousands of users,” said Nate Bowler, AtTask’s CTO. “It's a diverse group of individuals that have chosen to use @task to help their businesses get work done. The online community is a place for these users to come together, learn more about the product, create user groups, sign up for training events, and interface with product owners at @task.”
