The Business Problem

MDS Pharma needed a solution that would reduce the time it took to review project status. Using in-house created software that was several years old, it took 15 team members and eight hours to accurately identify project status. (At a cost of $285,000.)

The objective was to find a software tool that would reduce the time it took to update status from eight hours to 15 minutes or less and allow them to schedule projects, plus manage tasks and workload. Some of the software solutions they considered were Agio, Milestones, Artemis, Access, SIMMS (which required significant customization), and @task.

The Solution

@task delivered the best combination of tools to meet the needs of MDS. @task allows them to build their own project templates and provides the sophisticated reporting they were looking for. The ability to create custom reports and configure @task for each individual user allowed MDS Pharma to have transparency into every project and increased productivity.

@task adoption has also been successful. "@task was the most flexible solution," said Lindsey Fisher. "It’s easier to use and much more transparent—there are definitely @task cheerleaders in the group."

The Result

@task was able to reduce the time it takes to accurately identify study status to 12.6 minutes or less.
