The Business Problem

Originally, Nexus was using Microsoft Project to manage their projects. After taking Microsoft’s training course twice, Nexus determined that MS Project was too cumbersome and complicated to use, so the search was begun for another software solution. Because Nexus needed something that would allow project teams to collaborate and manage tasks regardless of their location, it was determined that a web-based, or SaaS, software solution would be the best option.

Managing projects was important to Nexus, but they also wanted a tool that would provide project accountability and help them maximize their resources, so timesheet functionality was something that was critical for Nexus.

The Solution

@task proved to be the best solution for Nexus. Team members can log in to @task from anywhere with an Internet connection, making it possible for Nexus project teams to update status from anywhere in the world. @task provided Nexus with a central location for project teams to collaborate, manage tasks, and easily keep track of project team member’s time, so Nexus is better able to manage their resources and accurately bill their customers.

The Result

“With everything in once place, @task is not only convenient for our project teams to use, we have access to accurate project information with reports and dashboards that are updated in real time,” says Lori Pope, Vice President of Operations for Nexus. “We are able to provide hourly billing reports on every task and create configurable reports that give us all the information we need at a glance. The intuitive interface allowed us to create the customized reports we needed without the need of outside assistance.”

@task allows Nexus to save 2-3 hours every month in putting together client billing information. “The time we save in creating billing reports alone pays for @task,” says Pope.

How Mover’s Suite Achieved the Results

Within the first two weeks Nexus had all their projects uploaded into @task, with complete implementation within the first month. “We were using the timesheets on the first day,” says Pope. “Adoption has been a complete success.”
